Fordite Cabochon #1

This is Sid's favorite material to work with! He looks for Fordite at every show we go to. This is old Ford paint the over spray over time layers and layers and creates a nice chunk of material to work with. Then we get it and cut and polish it and end up with this beauty! Some of the layers are metallic and have a nice sparkle and I see something new each time I look at it. The back of the Cabochon is flat and unpolished and made with a silversmith in mind. The measurements are roughly 3.5x2.5 cm, and 7mm thick.
